Guardians of the Galaxy Spin-Off Discussed

And it's not Groot-Rocket.

James Gunn has discussed a possible spin-off from the Guardians of the Galaxy series - and it's not the Groot-Rocket buddy movie Vin Diesel wants.

Warning: The following news story contains spoilers for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. You have been warned.

Speaking to Collider, Gunn explained that he'd like a standalone movie for the Ravagers we see at the end of the latest movie - who we discover are the original 1960s Guardians of the Galaxy line-up. More so, it seems talks of some kind have taken place:

“There’s always discussion with Ravagers — it would be The Ravagers [Gunn appears to be saying that this would be the movie's title]. It’s always a possibility. I would be excited.”

It's the first time Gunn's alluded to a possibility of a Ravagers movie happening, but not the first time he's mentioned wanting it to happen. Speaking to IGN (video below), Gunn said:

"I definitely want to see the Ravagers do their own thing in the MCU - I think all the things that we had in the many post-credit scenes are things that we want to see continue on in the future."

Before that, however, we probably have the small matter of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which Gunn will return to direct.

Joe Skrebels is IGN's UK News Editor, and he wants a Salacious Crumb Star Wars spin-off, but some of us don't get what we want. Follow him on Twitter.
