Mario Odyssey, Metroid Streams Announced for Gamescom


Live shows for Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Fire Emblem Warriors as well.

This year at Gamescom, Nintendo will host live streams to highlight two of its biggest upcoming titles.

Super Mario Odyssey gameplay, as well as a developer talk from producer Yoshiaki Koizumi, will be streamed on Wednesday, August 23 at 6am PT/9am ET/2pm UK/3pm CET/11pm AET. Those attending Gamescom will be able to check out the Metro Kingdom and Sand Kingdom on the showfloor.

The following day, on August 24 at 3am PT/6am ET/11am UK/12 CET/8pm AET, Metroid: Samus Return will be featured, with producer Yoshio Sakamoto and MercurySteam creative director José Luis Márquez present on stage to discuss the upcoming 3DS game, which launches alongside a Metroid-themed New Nintendo 3DS XL.

Additional live shows will be held during Gamescom to showcase upcoming titles like Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Fire Emblem Warriors. You'll be able to watch all of these live presentations on Nintendo of Europe's official website or YouTube channel.

Additionally, those attending the convention will be able to go hands-on with a number of other Nintendo games. In addition to Super Mario Odyssey and Metroid: Samus Returns, attendees can check out Pokken Tournament DX, Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, Monster Hunter Stories, Fire Emblem Warriors, Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions, and more.

Gamescom 2017 will be held in Cologne, Germany, and will run from August 22 to August 26. For more on the upcoming convention, find out how security has been tightened for cosplayers.
