Marvel is about to debut the latest addition to their growing Star Wars library. Star Wars: The Force Awakens Adaptation is exactly what it sounds like - a comic book adaptation of last year's smash hit movie.
This six-issue limited series will retell the events of the film. If Alan Dean Foster's novelization is any indication, we might also get some added insight into the main characters and the conflict between the Resistance and the First Order. The adaptation will be helmed by writer Chuck Wendig (Star Wars: Aftermath), artist Luke Ross (Hercules) and colorist Frank Martin (East of West).

Star Wars: The Force Awakens Adaptation is actually Marvel's third comic set in the period after Return of the Jedi, following last year's Journey to Star Wars: The Force AWakens - Shattered Empire and the new ongoing series Star Wars: Poe Dameron.
Look for Star Wars: the Force Awakens Adaptation #1 to be released on Wednesday, June 22.
