Resident Evil's Milla Jovovich to Play Hellboy Villain

It seems Hellboy will have to go up against Alice herself.

Resident Evil star Milla Jovovich will play the main villain in the Hellboy reboot.

IGN can confirm Jovovich, who portrayed protagonist Alice in all six Resident Evil movies, will star as the Blood Queen.

Jovovich will star opposite David Harbour, who'll play the titular Hellboy. Deadwood's Ian McShane has also recently joined the cast as Hellboy's adoptive father, Professor Broom.

The reboot, which was previously titled Hellboy: Rise of the Blood Queen, will be directed by Neil Marshall (The Descent) and begins filming this September. The movie will have a "darker tone" and serve as "more of a character piece."
