How to Watch Gamescom 2017


Super Mario Odyssey, the Xbox One X, and much more.

Gamescom is almost here yet again, and with this year's convention set to be the biggest version of the Germany-based event ever, IGN will be on hand to cover the biggest announcements, previews, and more — and you can get a front seat to the show with us.

IGN will be streaming live throughout Gamescom 2017, which runs from August 22 through August 26. To catch all of the action tune into both IGN Live right here on IGN.com and via IGN Live and Facebook present Gamescom 2017, available exclusively on IGN's Facebook page.

How Can I Watch This Year's Gamescom Coverage?

Are There Any Press Conferences This Year?

Both Microsoft and EA have announced special presentations to come from Gamescom.

EA's conference will host a live show on August 21 at 6:30 p.m. CEST/9:30 a.m. PT/12:30 p.m. ET/5L30 p.m. BST/2:30 a.m. AEST on August 22.

Microsoft will also be hosting a live special presentation featuring the Xbox One X and more on August 20 at 9 p.m. CEST/12 p.m. PT/3 p.m. ET/8 p.m. BST/5 a.m. AEST on August 21.

What Games Can We Expect to See?

Nintendo announced Gamescom live streams for a host of its upcoming titles, including Super Mario Odyssey, Metroid: Samus Returns, and more. Ubisoft is bringing its upcoming slate of games as well, such as Assassin's Creed: Origins and South Park: The Fractured But Whole.

Square Enix has also promised something big regarding Final Fantasy XV to be revealed during this year's Gamescom.

Capcom, meanwhile, will be on hand to showcase new fighters in Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite, while Bandai Namco will be bringing several titles including Dragon Ball FighterZ, Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom, and more.

Any Changes Coming to the Show?

Gamescom's organizer has announced some alterations to the show's security, including introducing cosplayer-specific entrances to help speed up the flow of people into the convention floor.

This year's event will also see a broader portion of the world in attendance, as Gamescom has confirmed that at least 38 countries will be represented at the show, which is a 12 percent increase over the number of countries that attended last year.
