Wonder Woman Crosses $400 Million at Domestic Box Office

Third-highest grossing Warner Bros. film ever.

Warner Bros. Pictures has announced that Wonder Woman has now grossed over $400 million across theaters in North America.

After surpassing Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 last month to become the highest-grossing film in domestic theaters—as well as the number two movie of all of 2017—Wonder Woman now stands as the third highest-grossing Warner Bros. film of all time, behind The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises.

The current worldwide total for the Patty Jenkins-directed DC movie is now over $794 million.

"Audiences have embraced this character and her story in such a spectacular fashion, and we couldn't be happier for everyone involved in bringing this incredible property to life and to cinemas across the country," said Susan Kroll, Warner Bros. Pictures' president of worldwide marketing and distribution.

Wonder Woman has shattered a number of records since its debut in June, becoming the DCEU's highest-grossing movie at the domestic box office, as well as the highest-grossing movie by a female director.

Warner Bros. is well aware of the film's success, and is reportedly planning to launch a major campaign during awards season to get this year's DC hit recognized at the Oscars.
