Welcome to IGN Australia's Overwatch tournament snapshot! The idea behind this doc is to give you a quick reference guide for the upcoming OW events in Australia and a handy calendar for international tournaments you can't miss.

We'll be updating this regularly with new information as it comes in — like the dates of the World Cup Qualifiers being held right here in Sydney! We want the community's help as well, so if you're a player or an event organiser get in touch. Blank Esports returns to Taipei to compete in the Overwatch Pacific Championship, no doubt embiggened after their success as Team Australia in the Overwatch World Cup and thirsty for revenge on the Flash Wolves, who narrowly defeated them in the season prior. 

 

Name: Overwatch Open Division ANZ

Thanks to collaboration with ESL, FACEIT and StarLadder, Blizzard is running the Open Division, a league where any players who ranked in Masters or higher in the most recent season of Ranked Competitive can compete. They'll be able to show off their skills to the world with the hopes of earning a spot on the Overwatch League which is kicking off next year.

The best teams from around the world will compete to see which national team is superior at the game of Overwatch. The teams have been selected, and Australia and New Zealand are preparing to battle for qualification over the coming weeks. Fans of competitive Overwatch will definitely want to watch this one.
