Westworld Casts Vikings' Floki, More for Season 2

Survival not guaranteed.

Westworld is adding some more faces for the sci-fi breakout's second season.

Hollywood Reporter broke the news that Gustaf Skarsgard - Vikings' Floki, and another member of the genre-friendly Skarsgard clan - will be joining the series as a regular, playing the part of Karl Strand, a "white-collar guy comfortable in the field".

He's joined by Fares Fares (Tyrant), who will be playing Antoine Costa - a "tech expert with an objective perspective". In addition, Betty Gabriel (Good Girls Revolt) will be joining in a recurring capacity, playing Maling, about whom not much is known other than that she's trying to "restore order on the ground".

This news comes on the heels of previous announcements listing Katja Herbers (Grace), Neil Jackson (Nicholas) and and Jonathan Tucker (Major Craddock) as other new arrivals, in addition to the promotion of previously-recurring series stars Talulah Riler (Angela) and Louis Herthum (Dolores' father Peter) to regular.

Cast members both new and old are going to find themselves in some challenging situations as Season 2 unfolds, considering where we left things at the close of Season 1. The show's sophomore run promises intrigue aplenty - although you'll have to wait to see it; filming began in July but the show isn't expected to return until 2018.
