The Defenders: Where Are All the Major Players?

With The Defenders about to collide, let’s catch up on where we last left Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist and their friends and enemies.

With Marvel and Netflix launching the long-awaited team-up of their "street-level Avengers" -- The Defenders -- this month, we figured it was the perfect time to take a look at where the heroes who form the team (as well as their allies and foes) were when we last saw them. From Matt Murdock's battles with the ninja assassins known as The Hand to Jessica Jones' struggles against Kilgrave and right on up to Luke Cage's journey to become the hero of Harlem and Danny Rand's search for his place in the world, a lot has happened in the Netflix corner of the MCU.

The Defenders debuts on August 18, 2017, on Netflix and stars Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock/Daredevil, Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones, Mike Colter as Luke Cage, Finn Jones as Danny Rand/Iron Fist, Elodie Yung as Elektra and Sigourney Weaver as the mysterious villain Alexandra. Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Scott Glenn, Rachael Taylor, Rosario Dawson, Simone Missick, Jessica Henwick and Wai Ching Ho also appear in the miniseries.
