Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon Story Details Revealed

Necrozma's getting closer.

The Pokemon Company has revealed new details of Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, including a hint at its story, a new Z-Ring type, and a new Dual Edition of the game.

Previously, we were only told that Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon would tell an "alternate story" in the same world as the original Sun and Moon games. We now know the game's story will focus on mysterious legendary Necrozma, and its connection to Solgaleo and Lunala.

"Ominous dark clouds begin to spread", reads a new press release, "and the secrets of Necrozma and the Alola region, which were never disclosed in the previous games, will finally come to light." The Pokemon website also explains that new buildings and landscapes will appear, too.

Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon will also introduce a new Z-Power Ring (which allows trainers and their Pokemon to use extra-powerful special moves), which allows for more Z-Moves than the last games. It will be accompanied by a new real-life Z-Power Ring toy, which you can see in the gallery of images below.

The new games will also feature new looks for the character models the last game introduced.

On top of that, a new Dual Edition of the game will be released, which includes copies of both Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon - no prices have been announced for the Dual Edition at time of writing.

As announced last week, the games will also feature a new "Dusk Form" Lycanroc. We'll likely learn more before the games' release for 3DS on November 17.

It's been a busy day for Pokemon news - we also learned that Pokemon Gold and Silver will be re-released as boxed editions for the 3DS... but with a download code in the box.
