New DuckTales will Include a Darkwing Duck Crossover

The mallard superhero returns.

It looks like Darkwing Duck himself will be showing up in the new DuckTales animated series.

SlashFilm reports DuckTales' co-producer and story editor Francisco Angones revealed concept art of the character and his signature motorcycle during a Comic-Con 2017 panel, confirming he'll make an appearance in the series.

The Darkwing Duck series released a few years after DuckTales, and it follows the titular anthropomorphic duck as he battles crime. Art for other well known characters from the show, including Magica De Spell, Megavolt, Quackerjack, and Ratcatcher was also shown off during the same Comic-Con panel.

There's no word yet on exactly how Darkwing Duck will fit into the DuckTales universe/story, or who'll be voicing the superhero.

DuckTales will premiere on Disney XD on August 12. For more on the series check out the full cast, which includes David Tennant as Scrooge McDuck.
