Rosario Dawson Won't Appear in The Punisher Series

"It doesn’t always work that way"

While promoting her latest film, Unforgettable, Rosario Dawson revealed that she won't be making an appearance in Marvel's new Netflix Original series, The Punisher.

Dawson is a regular face, playing the series-bridging nurse, Claire Temple who has so far appeared in every Marvel Netflix show. However, when speaking of the upcoming addition to the streaming service's shows, it appears that Claire Temple won't be making an appearance:

"I really wanted to do a cameo on The Punisher, but it doesn’t always work that way."

When asked about her connecting role in the overall series by Collider, Dawson replied, "I love it! It’s amazing, seeing people’s reactions online."

Dawson goes on to speak of the nature of her character in a world full of superheroes: "I think it’s really great. It’s grounding to remind people that we all have the opportunity and skills to be heroes or heroines in our real life, and it’s not just these heroes that have special powers that we get to fantasize about."

With Temple's increasingly significant roles in Luke Cage and Iron Fist building towards the group hero series The Defenders - which is set to debut on August 18 - we're looking forward to seeing more of Claire Temple very soon.

The Punisher is set to release at some point in 2017 and will star Daredevil's Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page and Jon Bernthal as The Punisher himself.
