Marvel's The Defenders Debut Date Revealed

Debuting exclusively on Netflix on August 18.

Netflix has announced Marvel's The Defenders will debut on August 18.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the show's premiere date was revealed via a teaser video posted on YouTube that has since been pulled. The video features security camera footage of Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), Luke Cage (Mike Colter) and Danny Rand (Finn Jones) on an elevator in Midland Circle, as well as a set of numbers in the upper left corner: 23.253.120.81.

If you enter those numbers into your web browser as http://23.253.120.81, you'll be redirected to a viral website for the New York Bulletin, the news outlet where Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll) is employed. If you scroll down, you'll notice at the very bottom of the page it says, "Watch Marvel’s The Defenders All Episodes Streaming Only on Netflix August 18."
