The worlds of the WWE and eSports are colliding — and IGN has your front-row seat to the action.
IGN is happy to announce that it will be hosting the WWE + IGN eSports Showdown in New York on Thursday, October 5, as well as a live stream of the event that night. WWE stars will go head-to-head as they virtually battle it out in one of today's biggest fighting games.
Here’s everything you need to know about how to attend, or catch the show online.
Easy! The show is general admission, and the tickets are free! Just head over to this page and sign up for a ticket — limited to attendees 18 and older. Space is limited so be sure to sign up as soon as possible.
And if you’re in town but not going to New York Comic Con, have no fear — an NYCC badge is not required!
The Showdown will be held at The Garage, which is located at 611 W 50th St. in New York City, New York. Doors open at 6 p.m. ET, with the event kicking off at 7 p.m. ET. on October 5.
Glad you asked! WWE stars set to attend are A.J. Styles, Sasha Banks, Cesaro, New Day’s Kofi Kingston, as well as a surprise or two!
New Day’s Xavier Woods will also be on hand as the Showdown’s General Manager, while Kinda Funny’s Greg Miller will also be hosting.
IGN’s Max Scoville will be offering commentary over the showdowns, while Alex “Golden Boy” Mendez will be shoutcasting the event.
IGN will be hosting a 90-minute live stream of the event, and you can watch it on any platform you can find IGN: Twitter, YouTube, Twitch, Apple TV, Roku, PS4, Xbox One, PlutoTV, Wurl TV Network and IGN's mobile apps on iOS and Android.
Some house rules to make the showdown as fun — and safe — as possible:
- No coat check will be available at the venue, so please do not bring any backpacks or large NYCC bags.
- IDs will be checked at the door!
- Tickets are non-transferable.
Be sure to RSVP as soon as possible. We can’t wait to see you there — or online — for all of the action!
