My Hero Academia Greenlit for Season 3

Deku's journey has only just begun.

While Season 2 of My Hero Academia concludes this weekend, Deku's story will continue, as the hit anime series has been greenlit for a third season.

According to Yonkou Productions on Twitter (via Crunchyroll), next week's issue of Shonen Jump confirms production for Season 3 has been given the go-ahead. There's currently no word on when the new season will air.

The Season 2 finale of My Hero Academia debuts tomorrow, September 30. In the meantime, check out our review of last week's episode, "Katsuki Bakugo: Origin," which served up a "beautifully animated and thrilling conclusion to the practical exams."

Also, don't miss our interview with  Yoshihiko Umakoshi, My Hero Academia's chief animation director, to find out how studio Bones goes about achieving the show's fantastic animation.

My Hero Academia isn't the only anime from Bones to recently get the green light for another season, as just last month it was revealed that the anime adaptation of ONE's webcomic Mob Psycho 100 will continue at the studio.
