The Legend of Zelda DLC for Monster Hunter Stories is Really Cool

The Legend of Zelda DLC for Monster Hunter Stories released September 28 entirely for free, and it includes some very beautiful, super neat stuff. The Zelda pack comes with Link's iconic tunic and sword, a Majora's Mask outfit for the cute feline sidekick, Navirou, and even Epona as a welcome partner.

Majora's Mask, called the Cursed Mask in Monster Hunter Stories, even alters Navirou's voice into an echoey, creepy version of itself reminiscent of Skull Kid's off-putting laughs in The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask.

The Hero's Sword is complete with a spectacularly detailed Hylian Shield and an Elder Dragon slaying skill. Even more useful are the Hero's Clothes, armor that slightly recovers HP each turn in battle and increases evasion when under half HP.

Epona completes the unlockable set as a ridable partner with an extra awesome Kinship Skill, basically a super move that calls upon the power of the Triforce. You can see all of this, as well as the cute vanity items like stickers, in the short video at the top of this article. The armor, weapon, Majora's Mask, and Epona all show up in the replayable cutscenes in Monster Hunter Stories, too. It's pretty cool seeing a Link lookalike take on a fierce Nargacuga with a Majora's Mask-wearing feline sidekick.
