Tom Hanks is set to reprise his SNL role as David S. Pumpkins for an animated half-hour Halloween special on NBC.
Based on Saturday Night Live's “Haunted Elevator” sketch, The David S. Pumpkins Halloween Special will premiere October 28 at 11:30 p.m. ET/PT. Hanks will be voicing the titular pumpkin suit-wearing mystery man and will also appear on camera right before the special begins.

The special will center around David S. Pumpkins and his dancing skeleton sidekicks showing a young boy and his sister the true meaning of Halloween. The original SNL sketch featured Hanks, dressed as Pumpkins, in an elevator surrounded by two skeleton dancers, played by Mikey Day and Bobby Moynihan.
Game of Thrones' Peter Dinklage will also star in the special, with Moynihan, Day, and Streeter Seidell having a few voiceover roles.
SNL was a big winner at the 69th Annual Primetime Emmys, winning an Emmy for Best Variety Sketch Series. Wonder Woman's Gal Gadot will host the sketch comedy program on October 7, which premieres this weekend and will be live from coast to coast in the U.S. all season.
