Thrawn's Heir to the Empire Bodyguard Coming to Star Wars Rebels

Another character from Timothy Zahn's Heir to the Empire, Rukh, makes his canon debut.

Warwick Davis is voicing Rukh in the upcoming season of Star Wars Rebels.

Rukh, a Noghri warrior who serves as Admiral Thrown's bodyguard in the Timothy Zahn Heir to the Empire trilogy that introduced Thrawn, has never been seen before in the series and this marks his move from a "Legends" character into official Star Wars canon.

Warwick Davis is no stranger to the world of Star Wars, having first appeared in the franchise as Wicket in Return of the Jedi and then in several Star Wars films since as other characters. His attachment to the movies has continued through the years, with Davis also appearing on, and hosting, panels during Star Wars Celebration. The idea of Davis voicing a character in Rebels was first brought up during a panel at last year's Celebration in London.

The Star Wars Rebels panel ended on a bittersweet note, with a trailer for the upcoming season shown off after news Rebels Season 4 would be its last.
