The MCU: Where Are All the Major Players Right Now?

With Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 heading to theaters, let's catch up on what all your favorite Marvel Cinematic Universe characters are currently up to.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is just a couple of weeks away, and while we're anxious to see what Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket and Baby Groot have in store for us next, we also figured this would be a good time to take an accounting of what everyone of note is up into the Marvel Cinematic Universe at the moment.

So consider this a refresher course on where your heroes (and a few villains) currently are, where we last left them, and where they might be going in the ever-evolving shared universe that is the MCU. From the Avengers (are they still together?) to Spider-Man (is he an Avenger yet?) to the Hulk and Thor (why'd they leave the Avengers again?), we break it all down for you in the following slideshow. Of course, there's even more going on in the MCU that this slideshow doesn't cover (where is Rick Jones anyway?!), not to mention the various upcoming titles that we don't know a ton about yet like Inhumans and Cloak and Dagger. But between Captain America being on the run with his Secret Avengers, Spider-Man trying to figure how to be Spider-Man, Hulk and Thor facing off in an alien arena, the Defenders forming, and so much more, it seems the residents of the Marvel film and TV world are more than keeping busy.
