Supergirl Is Introducing General Zod

The Krypton warlord is coming.

General Zod is coming to Supergirl.

The villainous Krypton warlord will show up on episode 22 in the current second season of the show, which returns with new episodes starting this Monday. Mark Gibbon, who has appeared in Man of Steel and a few episodes on Smallville, will be portraying Zod.

However, there are currently no plot details about Zod's visit, including why he suddenly decides to come to National City and what role he might be playing on Supergirl.

But, it could have something to do with Superman's imminent return, as it's been confirmed Tyler Hoechlin will reprise his role as the Man of Steel for the Season 2 finale.

Supergirl airs Mondays at 5 p.m. PT/8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT on The CW.
