BioWare Details Upcoming Mass Effect: Andromeda Changes

New patch releasing this Thursday.

Mass Effect: Andromeda will receive a patch later this week and BioWare has outlined what players can expect from the update.

Following the studio's tease last week, BioWare general manager Aaryn Flynn announced in post on the game's official site that this Thursday, a new patch will be available that features a number of improvements.

In addition to allowing players to skip ahead when using the galaxy map to travel between planets, the patch includes an increase to the inventory cap, fixes for Ryder's moments, and visual improvements for the eyes of asari and human characters.

The update includes a host of other changes, all of which can be found in BioWare's patch notes.

BioWare also has plans to roll out more patches over the next couple of months that will fix the game's stability and performance problems, as well as introduce the following improvements:

  • More options and variety in the character creator
  • Improvements to hair and general appearance for characters
  • Ongoing improvements to cinematic scenes and animations
  • Improvements to male romance options for Scott Ryder
  • Adjustments to conversations with Hainly Abrams

The studio is also looking to add more cosmetic items to the single-player campaign free of charge, and plans to further build upon the multiplayer experience over the next couple months with new maps, weapons and characters.

Alongside Thursday's patch, BioWare will also kick off the first of three new chapters focused on The Remnant Investigation.
