Andrew Lincoln's Hopes for a Walking Dead Reunion

One happy space ship.

In an interview with Variety, Andrew Lincoln from AMC's The Walking Dead, revealed his desires to appear on the upcoming sci-fi series, Star Trek: Discovery.

Warning:  Major spoilers for The Walking Dead Season 7 Finale, The First Day of the Rest of Your Life, to follow.

During the interview, Lincoln praised co-star Sonequa Martin-Green, who played Sasha Williams on The Walking Dead, for her grace, strength, and tenacity.  This came after the Season 7 finale, in which we see Sasha sacrifice herself to protect the rest of the group.

Martin-Green was cast in a starring role as a Starfleet lieutenant commander in Star Trek: Discovery late last year alongside Harry Potter actor, Jason Isaacs.

Lincoln states that the addition of Martin-Green to the Star Trek cast will make for "...one happy space ship", adding that he'd like to make an appearance on the show in special effects makeup.  The actor wouldn't verify an appearance when asked for confirmation, and only replied with "No spoilers."

Star Trek: Discovery is due to premiere late summer or early fall in the USA after some delays, which were contributed to by Martin-Green's commitments on The Walking Dead.
