Kanye's Next Album May Have Songs Named After Wii Games

On an ultralight Wii.

Kanye West is working on a new album, and producer Pete Rock took to Instagram to show off some photos taken "in da lab" with Kanye.

The photos, spotted by NeoGAF, show mixing equipment and a list of Wii game names, including Okami, Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2, and Tatsunoko vs. Capcom.

Right now, it's nothing more than a list of Wii games that run the gamut from the well-known to the somewhat-obscure.

If the album has a nerdy-bent, it should come as no surprise. In February, Kanye took to Twitter to announce his next album is called "TurboGrafx-16." Of course, none of the games on the list in Pete Rock's photo are even remotely related to the retro console recently re-trademarked by Konami.

Who knows how many, if any, songs named after Wii games will find their way to Kanye's new album. The creative process is long, and in the case artists like Kanye West, ever-changing.

Kanye is no stranger to the world of gaming. In fact, earlier this year, a trailer for Kanye's video game was released by the artist. No details like release or platform were given at the time, and no notable news about the game, called Only One: The Game, has since been released.
