The Leftovers creators Damon Lindelof and Tom Perrotta have announced the third and final season of HBO's acclaimed drama will premiere this coming April.
Lindelof and Perrotta revealed the debut month for Season 3 in a video message posted on the show's official Twitter account.

With Game of Thrones: Season 7 not premiering until summer 2017, it was believed The Leftovers would essentially be taking GoT's usual late spring slot. Thanks to today's announcement from Perrotta and Lindelof (sporting a Game of Thrones reference on his shirt, no less), we now have confirmation that The Leftovers' eight-episode final season is indeed filling that void.
