Star Wars: Doctor Aphra #1 - $4.99
STL027311

By writer Kieron Gillen & artist Kev Walker | Marvel Comics

If you read Darth Vader’s recently-concluded solo comic, then you already know Doctor Aphra. But if not, you might be wondering what made her such a breakout character that she’s now getting a spinoff series of her own.

Doctor Aphra is essentially Indiana Jones in space. And she’s accompanied by two murderous droids, 0-0-0 and BT-1. Aphra is pragmatic and inventive, two qualities that helped her in the secret employ of Darth Vader, which she barely survived. But now she’s free of his command and looking to get back to what she’s good at, pilfering valuable relics and artifacts across the Outer Rim.

Also of special note, this series marks the first time a Marvel-created character is starring in their own comic series.

DC Rebirth Omnibus Hardcover - $75.00
STL018058

By Various Artists & Writers | DC Comics

DC Comics kicked off their Rebirth initiative earlier this year, re-launching the entire line and bringing back classic elements that fans have long missed. They essentially went back to basics and got rid of all the New 52 stuff that didn’t work. Now, the Rebirth issues that launched each series and established new status quos are all collected into this hardcover collection.

If you’ve been enjoying Rebirth and want to memorialize its launch, or if you’re a new reader and want to sample everything that’s been released, then this is the omnibus for you.

Injustice: Ground Zero #1 - $2.99
STL027477

By writer Christopher Sebela & artist Pop Mhan | DC Comics

With the Injustice: Gods Among Us prequel comic wrapped up, we now know the full story of what happened in the years leading up to the start of the video game. This new Ground Zero comic tells the story of precisely what transpired over the course of the game, told from Harley Quinn’s point of view. The story of the game changes depending on which character you choose to play as, so this comic will act as the definitive account of what “actually” happened.

This is just what we need to tide us over until Injustice 2 launches next year.

Keep reading for Thor, Reggie, and Team Batgirl's new indie comic!
