Telltale CEO Kevin Bruner Steps Down

Bruner will stay on the company's board of directors.

Kevin Bruner is stepping down from his role as chief executive officer of Telltale Games.

Kotaku originally broke the story, citing a company-wide email sent out by Bruner. A statement from head of creative communications Job Stauffer to IGN confirmed the report:

"Kevin has led Telltale over the past couple of years after he stepped into the CEO role for co-founder Dan Connors in 2015. With Kevin departing, Telltale is fortunate to have Dan here to step back seamlessly into the CEO role."

"Dan" refers to Telltale co-founder Dan Connors, who is acting as CEO following Bruner's resignation.

In the email obtained by Kotaku, Bruner wrote he felt it was time to give up his position to someone who could move Telltale "to the next level and realize all the potential that is here."

Bruner has been CEO of Telltale since 2015.

Telltale gave a look at its upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy game during PAX East 2017. The game includes a new female character who hasn't been seen outside the Marvel comic book of the same name, but Telltale is tight-lipped on who it might be.
