Original Ghost in the Shell Theme Remixed by Steve Aoki

The film hits theaters March 31.

DJ Steve Aoki has remixed the Ghost in the Shell theme for the upcoming remake.

Aoki released the remix, titled "Reawakening", via a Facebook video that shows off some footage from the film. For Aoki, it's been a "big day" for him considering he grew up watching the 1995 animated original, which "planted the seeds for my imagination and obsession for Sci fi android life AI singularity and later the blueprints towards my Neon Future ideology." Ghost in the Shell opens in theaters on March 31. While you wait for the remake, meet the film's effective Public Security Section 9 team and check out some new character posters.

Scarlett Johansson, who somewhat controversially plays main character Major in the movie, has recently spoken about how "diversity is important in Hollywood" and why she would never want to play a character deemed "offensive."
