Is Middle-earth: Shadow of War Going to Let Us Import Saves?

Shadow of old war.

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor's unique nemesis system helped craft stories outside of the main plot line. You had to kill your arch-enemy in the original game, but could your own personal big bad orc be making an appearance in Middle-earth: Shadow of War anyway?

In an interview with GamesRadar, developer Monolith was strangely cagey on the matter. When the subject of transferring old save data came up, Monolith Productions creative vice president Michael de Plater had to leave the room to check whether he was allowed to talk about it yet. He apparently was not.

"We're not saying anything at this time," was the eventual response, which has led to many asking why someone in charge of the game didn't just give a straight "no".

Despite your nemesis from the original game being officially dead, there are certainly instances of the series' bad guys cheating death and coming back. It even happens in the section of extended gameplay from the new game that was released yesterday.

After a leak on a stunt actress' resumé all the way back in March last year, Middle-earth: Shadow of War was officially announced last week.
