Horizon Exploit: How to Level Up With Infinite Health and Heavy Ammo

This page collects cheats, secrets, exploits, and other tricks for Horizon: Zero Dawn that allow you to get easy XP, infinite ammo, and invincibility. Know something we don't?

Find a Ravager and target the Ravager Cannon mounted on its back with Tearblast arrows (normal arrows will also work, though it takes more time). Sneak up to the Cannon, marked with an orange marker in your HUD, and grab it.

You can now kill extremely powerful enemies with its 75-shot cannon -- but before you do that, find a camp fire and save. Now, each time you reload a save, your Ravager Cannon ammo will be replenished. You can use this to easily kill machines way above your level and grind for XP and drops.

1) Expend your ammo on nearby enemies (a Thunderjaw only takes half the ammo amount to drop!) but NOT ALL OF IT.

2) Search the corpses for loot.

3) Return to a campfire, save, and load that save. All of your ammo will return. Note that the Machines will respawn (that's great for grinding!) and any loot you didn't pick up will disappear, so don't miss it!

There is a hidden armor called "Shield-Weaver", which renders Aloy (almost) invincible. The armor contains a rechargeable shield that absorbs all incoming damage, including falling damage. If the shield is close to failing, it will blink red and emit a high-pitched alarm sound.

The Shield-Weaver can be found by completing the quest Ancient Armory and finding all five hidden Power Cells throughout the game.
