We may have gotten our first look at The Last of Us Part 2 last week, but Naughty Dog was holding an tiny piece of evidence of it under our noses for months before that.
As spotted by Reddit user soapaddict97, the design of a poster released for the game's "Outbreak Day" celebration in September bears an uncanny resemblance to lead character Ellie's new tattoo in Part 2:
That suspicion has been corroborated by Naughty Dog communications manager, Scott Lowe on Twitter and, as if that wasn't enough, Naughty Dog has today released a better look at the tattoo:
It's a fittingly lovely little bit of detail from a studio known for its attention to lovely little details. Kudos, Naughty Dog.
It may only have been announced a few days ago, but we already know a fair bit about Part 2 - like how it'll feature a 19 year-old Ellie, or that the first game's director won't be taking up the same role, or how it's been co-written with one of the minds behind Westworld.
