The Elder Scrolls Online Homestead DLC Coming in February

The houses are styled after the game's 10 races.

The Elder Scrolls Online's housing DLC, titled Homestead, is coming in February for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4, publisher Bethesda announced today.

Homestead will be free in the next Elder Scrolls Online major update and includes nearly 40 unique homes with over 2,000 individual decorative and furniture options, according to Bethesda.

Accompanying the announcement, Bethesda also released a trailer, seen below, showcasing some of the housing and decoration options. Bethesda notes that all houses in the video were decorated using the same Housing Editor tools available to players.

To begin the Homestead DLC, players will complete a tutorial quest to receive a room at a local inn. From there, players will be able to expand to multiple homes with options like "a cozy tree home in Greenshade," "a charming villa in Malabal Tor," or "a sprawling manor estate in The Rift."

Houses in the DLC are based off of the game's 10 playable races and are available to all characters regardless of race or alliance, with the exception of the Imperial-style homes, which require the Imperial Edition of ESO.

The Elder Scrolls Online's housing DLC was first revealed at E3 2016. Earlier this month, the MMORPG added Crown Crates, which include a total of four randomized items.
