Pokemon Go Will Reportedly Get New Monsters This Week

A leak from Starbucks (who else?) may have outed that new Pokemon will be added to Pokemon Go this Thursday, December 8.

Reddit user alturrisi posted an internal Starbucks memo that says "the world of Pokemon Go is about to expand with new Pokemon", and explains that a new update will be released in the US on Thursday.

The December 8 update will turn the majority of Starbucks locations into in-game PokeStops or Gyms, and coincides with the release of a new Pokemon Go-branded Frappuccino.

While there's no explicit mention that the same update will include new Pokemon, a recent Go patch paved the way for the entirety of the Pokemon Gold and Silver Pokedex to be added to the game.

IGN has contacted Niantic for comment.
