New DuckTales Series Gets a (Brief) Teaser and Summer Slot

Not too long now.

DisneyXD's new DuckTales animated series now has a release window and a new, but brief, teaser to go along with the announcement.

Entertainment Weekly reports that the series will make its debut on DisneyXD sometime next summer, in 2017. The teaser, which lasts only 15 seconds, gives a good look at the series' logo and a quick snippet of the theme song.

Disney first announced it would be rebooting the series last year. The new show is set to feature most of the classic characters, including Scrooge McDuck and his grandnephews, Huey, Dewey, and Louie, plus plenty of other fan-favorites: Duckworth, Magica De Spell, Launchpad McQuack, and Flintheart Glomgold.

This year Disney revealed the show's first images and the creative team behind the project, which includes producer Matt Youngberg (Ben 10: Omniverse), and director Sean Jimenez (Gravity Falls).

The show's first season will contain 21 half-hour episodes and two one-hour specials, according to EW.
