First Spider-Man: Homecoming Clip Released

You'll believe a spider can fly.

Update: Remember how we were saying that Marvel hadn't released the web-wings clip? Marvel just released the web wings clip - the first piece of footage from Spider-Man: Homecoming to be put online.

Seemingly a piece of self-filmed Peter Parker phone footage, the clip does indeed contain Jon Favreau, Tom Holland, and some underarm apparatus.

The clip comes alongside another announcement, too - the first Spider-Man: Homecoming trailer will be debuted on Jimmy Kimmel Live, tomorrow, December 8.

We'll have that up for you as soon as possible, so stick with us on IGN.

Original story: Spider-Man: Homecoming will see Tom Holland's Peter Parker don a long-forgotten piece of the hero's kit - his web wings.

Reported by Omelete (and translated by Collider), a clip from the film shown (but not publicly released) at Brazil's Comic Con Experience showed web wings as an upgrade to the suit seen in Captain America: Civil War.

Installed by Tony Stark and delivered by Jon Favreau's returning Happy Hogan character, the wings are shown after Spider-Man jumps from the top of the building, with Omelete saying they maintain "the blend of retro and technological" in Tom Holland's character's costume.

The report was confirmed by Marvel Digital Media vice president Ryan Penagos:

The web wings - interwoven strands of web that stretch from the Spider-man suits waist to elbows - were a part of Spidey's costume on the cover of Amazing Fantasy #15 (below), the character's original introduction to the Marvel Universe.
