The Tick, Jean-Claude Van Johnson and I Love Dick have received full series orders by Amazon, after the pilots for all three comedies performed well during their trial run for Prime subscribers last month.
Announced via a press release today, Amazon has revealed that the trio of upcoming shows will premiere exclusively through the company's Prime Video service sometime next year for those in the United States and the U.K., as well as in Germany, Austria, and Japan.
Amazon's aforementioned trial run in August proved to be incredibly successful, serving as the company's most-watched season for comedy pilots in the history of Prime Video.
"These pilots were vast in scope, disruptive in tone, challenging in story and sometimes even funny," Amazon Studios Half-Hour Series head Joe Lewis said in a statement accompanying the announcement. "It’s rewarding to see customers embrace them in such a huge way."
The pilots for all three series are currently available for Amazon Prime subscribers to check out. Be sure to read IGN's review of The Tick pilot and the Jean-Claude Van Johnson pilot for our thoughts on Amazon's slate of upcoming shows.
