Overwatch's Zarya Joins Heroes of the Storm

She's not a good loser.

Aleksandra Zaryanova, better known as Zarya from Overwatch, has made her way into the roster of Heroes of the Storm.

Blizzard's MOBA, which contains a variety of characters from all of its franchises, has a new patch, which brings in Zarya as well as a new map called Warhead Junction.

Zarya's basic abilities include launching a particle grenade, gaining a personal shield, and granting an ally a brief shield, much like in Overwatch.

Her heroic abilities are similar too, with one launching a bomb which draws enemies towards the center for 2.5 seconds. However her other heroic ability is an expulsion zone bomb, which knocks back enemies and slows their movement speed.

The new Battleground was once a testing facility for nuclear weapons which has now fallen into ruin. Warheads will spawn periodically throughout the map, and you'll be able to pick them up and activate a nuke to deal large damage to enemy fortifications.

There are also a number of balance tweaks and changes, as well as bug fixes, which can all be found in the full patch notes.

Overwatch's Tracer was the first character from that game to make it into Heroes of the Storm, and we'll likely be seeing more in the future.
