Benedict Cumberbatch's turn as the Sorcerer Supreme will definitely not be his last, with Doctor Strange now confirmed for an appearance in 2018's The Avengers: Infinity War.
Talking to Empire magazine (via The Express), Cumberbatch explained that the next step for his character will be the “logistical challenge of aligning his schedule with those of Robert Downey Jr, Chris Hemsworth, Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany”.
Given that those actors play Iron Man, Thor, Scarlet Witch and The Vision respectively, and that Infinity War is the only film they'll be sharing in the not-too-distant future, we have our confirmation.
“To get us all together will be quite something," Cumberbatch explained. "That’s why this character is being introduced, to open up the next chapter. So watch this space to see how that unfolds.”
Before that, Doctor Strange could also be making an appearance in next year's Thor: Ragnarok, at least if a certain set photo is anything to go by.
But, before any of that, Doctor Strange will appear in his very own movie, arriving on October 26 in the UK, October 27 in Australia, and November 4 in the US and Canada. To whet your appetite, here are 15 cool details we learned on the set of the movie.
