Dishonored is getting the comic book treatment in the form of a four-issue miniseries, plus a new prose novel series by Titan Comics.
According to Newsarama, the miniseries will continue the story of Corvo in a "throwback industrial setting," taking place between the first Dishonored and this year's upcoming sequel. Gordon Rennie is writing the series, with illustrations by Andrea Olimpieri and Marcelo Maiolo.
"Twelve years have passed since Corvo Attano scuppered the Lord Regent’s duplicitous plot against the crown and cleared his name of the Empress Jessamine’s murder," Titan Comics' plot description reads. Now our hero "sets his sights on the future and securing an apprentice to continue his legacy," but inevitably finds himself pulled back into "an otherworldly conspiracy" after running into "an impossible face from his past."
The comic will release sometime in August, with the "collected edition" arriving in November.
Additionally, Titan's book division is releasing the first installment in a trilogy of prose novels in September. The first entry, titled Dishonored - The Corroded Man, is being written by Adam Christopher.
Dishonored 2, the upcoming third-person action sequel from Bethesda Softworks and developer Arkane Studios, launches on November 11, 2016. For an early look at the title, check out IGN's first deep dive into the "mad game made by mad minds."
