Where to Find Every Raid Chest in Destiny 2

This page contains information on the secret Raid Chests that can be opened for unique loot during the Leviathan raid in Destiny 2.

Raid Chests require special keys to unlock, which can be acquired by eliminating special enemies and completing specific tasks.

The Leviathan ship has a large network of maintenance ducts and operations rooms hidden beneath the palatial rooms where the various raid challenges take place. The map below, provided by reddit user Addesso, shows how all of the tunnels, and their entrances and exits, interconnect to form the labyrinthine underbelly of the world eater ship.

Use this map and the location guide below to help you navigate the underbelly and find all nine Raid chests.

There are two primary ways to enter the underbelly of the Leviathan - the easiest one is via the set of switches that open a drain, and the other is a series of pressure plates around the Embankment.

There are a total of nine known chests in the Leviathan underbelly. These chests are all in separate locations of the underbelly: engine room, drain, pipeline, transfer, aqueduct, ventilator, conduit, armory, and irrigation. Here is a guide to get all nine chests starting from the beginning.

This guide assumes you will enter via the drain on the second level of the Embankment, have all 9 keys and plan to collect all of the chests at once.

Go up the airlift from the pipeline entry, and when you reach the top you will find a hallway leading off to your left and one straight in front of you. Choose the hallway straight ahead and make your way upwards until you reach a door. There will be a lever you can interact with in front of the door, but do not open this door until you and your fire team are all together!

There are four robot watchers on the other side of this door and they must be killed within a short amount of time before they all put up their shields. The Watchers will put up their shields if they detect you or if one of their number is killed, so make sure to coordinate with your fire team and use supers and power weapons to take them out fast.

Kill them all and a door will open in that room presenting you the Transfer chest. If at any point in the Underbelly you fail to kill all of the Watchers, simply backtrack and walk away until you find yourself in a different underbelly zone. Doing this will reset the Watchers and allow your team to try again.

Make your back into the Transfer room through the door directly to your right as you exit the chest room (in the same corner you're currently in). There is a large red pipe you can jump on on to get to the next floor of the Transfer room.

Keep going through the area until you see a hallway on the right. Follow the hallway into the Aqueduct room and your chest will be in a alcove before the giant blue Aqueduct hallway.

Retrace your steps out of the rotating chamber where you collected the Aqueduct Chest, but instead of taking a right to return towards the Transfer room, take a left and venture down the air shaft.

Loop around the cargo area with the gold chains on the ceiling and continue down another air shaft. Head into the room on your right to find the engine room.

This will be the same concept: open the door and kill all four Watchers before their shields go up. The Watchers in the Engine room will be spread out in a hallway so make sure there are fire team members focusing on the Watchers at the end of the hallway!

Do this correctly and a door will open up in the Engine room with the Engine chest.

Once you open the Engine chest, turn around and go toward the opposite side of the Engine room. You will find an entrance that leads to a large open hallway with huge fans. The fans turn on every few seconds and will kill you if they blow you away. Wait until the fans turn off and then run toward the activation console in front of the fan. Deactivate the fan to allow your fire team through.

There are a total of four fans in the Ventilator room and the chest will be in between the four fans. There will be an alcove you can jump up to after the second fan and your chest will be waiting for you.

This chest will be one of the harder chests to get in the underbelly. After looting the Ventilator chest, make your way past the final two fans in the Ventilator room. There will be a airlift you can activate and take up. Follow the hallway right toward the next door. There will be two floors in the next room with two Watchers on each floor. They are very spread out so make sure to use Rockets or Snipers to take them all out before the shields go up!

If done correctly the Pipeline chest will be on the second floor of this room.

Stay on the upper floor of the Pipeline room and find a red entrance/hallway. At the end of this hallway there will be a long and narrow shaft system that you must crouch-walk through. The way toward the Drain room is very linear so follow the underbelly until you reach a hole in the ground.

Drop in the hole and another door with Watchers on the other side will be waiting for you. Eliminate the Watchers and a room will open with the Drain chest.

This next chest will require you to backtrack all the way to the airlift you took before the Pipleline chest. Once you reach this airlift, take the red hallway signified by a Chalice symbol above the entrance. Make a right in the hallway and drop down.

You should see purple light being emitted when you drop down, this is the entrance to Emperor Calus's throne room. Keep going straight toward the next tunnel and follow along the path. This is a long but linear commute and a door you can interact with will await you at the end. Open the door and you will find a hole you can drop down through.

There are four more Watchers at the bottom so coordinate with your fire team before dropping down one at a time. Kill all four Watchers and the Conduit chest will be yours for the looting.

From the Conduit room, find the hallway that leads to a large fence wall. Jump on top of this fence and there will be a bunch of narrow pipes that you can crouch-walk on. Obviously, falling off the pipe and into the water will kill you.

There are four total areas you can go to on these pipes: Beast area, Swords area, the area you just came from, and an area that is not marked with a symbol. The Irrigation chest will be in this area right as you drop down from the pipes.

To reach the Armory from the Irrigation Chest, make your way across the pipes into the other chamber on this side of the room, directly to your left. Follow the hall full of large plants until you reach the Gauntlet hallway, then continue through the passage across from you until you reach a small pipe to enter.

Follow the pipes until you exit into the backside of the Armory.

Kill the four Watchers on the other side and claim your Armory chest. If you fail to kill the four Watchers before their shields go up, you and your team can crouch-walk back through the dirt tunnel toward the Transfer room to reset the encounter.
