Runaways #1 - $3.99
STL056483

By writer Rainbow Rowell & artist Kris Anka | Marvel

It's been far too long since Marvel has published a proper Runaways comic, especially if you don''t count the 2015 Secret Wars tie-in (which we don't). But at long last, these teen heroes are reunited and ready to find their new place in the Marvel U. Even better, it looks like they'll be joined by a resurrected Gert.

The franchise really sells itself in this case. That said, we're also very curious to see YA novelist Rainbow Rowell make her Marvel debut with this project. And we have no doubt that the ever-versatile Kris Anka will shine here. It's disappointing that this book is only planned as a miniseries, but with any luck it'll still pave the way for a more lasting presence for this beloved team.

Action Comics #987 - $2.99
STL054574

By writer Dan Jurgens & artist Viktor Bogdonavic | DC

The identity of the enigmatic Mr. Oz has been one of the driving mysteries of DC Rebirth. In truth, it dates back even sooner to Geoff Johns' brief Superman run. And now, after years of waiting, fans will learn who truly hides beneath those robes. Is Mr. Oz actually Watchmen's Ozymandias, or another villain obsessed with Egyptian trappings and quietly manipulating heroes from behind the scenes? Either way, expect this issue's big reveal to be a major catalyst for the DCU as the march to Doomsday Clock continues.

Ninjak #0 - $3.99
STL056524

By Writers Matt Kindt & Christos Gage & Various Artists | Valiant

Valiant has done a great job of making its relaunched X-O Manowar series accessible to newcomers, not to mention elevating the series into one of the best ongoing books on the market. Can they repeat that accomplishment with Ninjak? Here's hoping. This introductory issue serves as both an ending and a beginning. Writer Matt Kindt wraps up his run in one story while handing the torch over to incoming writer Christos Gage in another. If you've ever been curious about this suave secret agent/ninja warrior, now is the perfect time to jump on board.

Harley Quinn 25th Anniversary Special #1 - $4.99
STL056730

By Various | DC

Today happens to mark the 25th anniversary of Harley Quinn's debut on Batman: The Animated Series. Even though she didn't make her way into the traditional comic book DCU for several more years, it's an occasion worth celebrating. That's where this anniversary special comes in. This issue is crammed with Harley Quinn storytellers new and old. We're especially looking forward to seeing Amanda Conner draw Harley (which doesn't happen often enough on the main series) and for noted funny guy Chip Zdarsky to try his hand at the character.

Wolfenstein #1 - $5.99
STL056936

By writer Dan Watters & artist Ronilson Friere | Titan

Given all the unique trappings of the Wolfenstein franchise, from its alternate historical setting to its supernaturally charged take on WWII, we're surprised there haven't been more attempts to expand the universe outside of the video games. Luckily, Titan Comics is making up for lost time with this short new miniseries, which chronicles a new battle in the neverending war between BJ Blazkowicz and the Nazis.
