Steamforged Games is working on a new board game based on the popular video game Resident Evil 2.
The makers of the Dark Souls board game which was funded in 3 minutes have launched a new Kickstarter campaign for a cooperative survival horror board game set in the Resident Evil universe. This new game is looking to see similar success, as it was fully funded within an hour of the campaign's launch and has already breached four of its stretch goals.
Resident Evil 2 - The Board Game allows 1-4 players to control familiar Resident Evil characters in an attempt to escape Raccoon City and the zombie horde. Players will have to conserve their limited ammunition as they seek to reach the end goal while surviving random zombie attacks.
At the time of writing, the Resident Evil 2 board game is at $290,000 USD with 3,063 backers. The Kickstarter campaign has 27 days to go, so we'll have to wait and see if Steamforged Games can top the $5 million it received for its Dark Souls board game campaign.
