In the world of The Last of Us, September 26 is known as Outbreak Day, the day that the Cordyceps Brain Infection hit critical mass. In the real world, developer Naughty Dog has made the day a bit cheerier, celebrating each Outbreak Day by releasing some new The Last of Us content for fans to enjoy, and this year brings with it The Last of Us Part II merchandise.
Naughty Dog revealed three items today in a post on the company's blog, including a new poster, T-shirt, and a PS4 theme. The poster features all new The Last of Us art from Kevin Tong, who also created last year's Outbreak Day poster. The poster is available in limited quantities on MondoTees. Take a look at all three items below:
The Last of Us Part II PS4 dynamic theme features art from the game's reveal trailer as well as various audio and animated effects. The theme will be available on the PlayStation Store. The final item, The Last of Us Part II T-shirt, will be available on the PlayStation Gear Store today.
In addition to these items the PlayStation Store will also be holding a sale on digital The Last of Us content all week. The Last of Us Part II is still in development, even without the first game's co-director Bruce Straley who recently left the company.
