Mario + Rabbids: Don't Miss Every Collectible Chest in World 2

This page contains locations and the contents of the World 2 Collectible Chests, which are hidden throughout World 2 - Sherbet Desert. These chests are often located off the beaten path, in-between the battles you must take part in during Chapters.

There are 38 Collectible Chests to find in World 2.

EditWorld 2-1 - Cold Hands, Warm Heart

Once you arrive in the part-frozen, part-scorching wasteland, look for a Collectible Chest in the corner that holds 5 Power Orbs - to the right of the path to the first battle.

Past the site of the second battle in this chapter, continue up the hill until you get to a large platform with a plateau to the left. Look behind the large plateau and squeeze around the side to find a Collectible Chest containing The Midboss Theme Soundtrack.

Next to the previously mentioned chest is a large statue. Once you have the Lift Ability, grab the statue and bring it back to the entrance to the second battlefield and look left for a red pedestal to unlock the Cannon.

This will take you far into the desert area of the Lazy River, where you can find a Collectible Chest just to the right containing Mystic Battle Soundtrack.

EditCollectible Chest 4 and 5

From the chest, be sure to push the blocks nearby to form a bridge, and then look up past where the first chest was to find two more Collectible Chests. The first one contains the Wrecking Smasher Artwork. The second Collectible Chest holds the Sherbet Smasher Model.

Head past the second battlefield in the first chapter until you reach a path where the terrain turns from desert to icy and the path goes right. Instead, go left into an icy alcove to find a block puzzle. Once inside, turn around to find a green switch that can lower the green block.

Push the block across and raise the green block to push it back onto the switch. This will open the path to a Collectible Chest holding 5 Power Orbs.

Return to the Hot n' Cold Commons and go past the second battlefield map and across the land bridges until the road turns icy, and at the end of the natural bridge, look to the left to find a Collectible Chest that holds the Sherbet Ziggy Model.

Once you reach the area with the first ice-pushing puzzle with the Rabbid Mario Marble, you can also look along the left side for an icy path moving deep into a cave.

Push the block in the cave onto the Rabbid Switch to reveal a Collectible Chest...and a disco ball. The chest contains the Sherbet Hopper Model.

Once you've created the path to the second chapter by busting open the gate, turn left after passing the open path to spy an alcove around the icy side of the platform, where you can find a Collectible Chest that holds the Banzai Bill Artwork.

After passing the one battlefield in this chapter, Enter the path to a long canyon. Before you reach the next chapter, look along the left side for a crevice hiding two important items, which includes a Collectible Chest that holds the Hoppers! Soundtrack.

Moving across the bridge from the first battlefield, you’ll come across the area where Toad has found Rabbid Mario.

Head to the right across another bridge to find a Collectible Chest in plain view that holds At the Tower’s Feet Soundtrack.

From the previously mentioned chest, look further for a Rabbid Warp Pipe and take it to secluded area with a batch of coins, a trail along the water, and three blocks in the middle.

Push the blocks into the water to create a path. Cross the new bridge and grab the Collectible Chest that contains 10 Power Orbs.

In this same place, look for an area with a statue behind a red wall. Once you have the Lift Ability, look for a pipe up across the bridge to hit the red switch.

Carry the statue up and place it on the blue pedestal to unlock a Collectible Chest that holds 10 Power Orbs.

Back at the ice field with Rabbid Mario, there’s one thing you can do before you push him off.

Use the map above to push Rabbid Mario (or the ice block that replaces him when he's gone) across so that he lands on the red panel. This will open up a nearby door giving you access to a Mushroom, as well as a Collectible Chest that holds 20 Power Orbs.

After clearing the chapter, head back down the Rabbid Warp Pipe to the lower level, and look for a small path going to a Collectible Chest that holds the Tower’s Theme 1 Soundtrack.

EditCollectible Chest 16 and 17

Next to the previously mentioned chests is a statue. Once you have the Lift Ability, you can pick it up.

Grab the statue and retrace your steps back to the red door in World 2-5 - Gatecrashers to open it and find two Collectible Chests. One of these contains 5 Power Orbs, while the other Collectible Chest holds the Tower’s Puzzle Soundtrack.

From this area mentioned above, you can push a block that creates a bridge to Plateau Point, and you can take the statue into the next area, and look for a path behind a Rabbid Warp Pipe leading across a bridge to a red door and pedestal.

Unlock it, and you’ll find a Collectible Chest that contains the Hieroglyphic Artwork.

Head back along the road leading away from the second battlefield in World 2-6, and when the road forks, take the path on the left down to an icy area with several blocks.

Check behind them and you’ll find a Collectible Chest that holds the Archaeo Site Artwork.

In this same area, there’s a green block that’s blocking the path to the blue switch.

Push the block on the right back and forth to lower the green block, then push the block on the left down and across so it passes the blue switch.

Push the other block off to send the green block back up so that you can hit the blue switch. This unlocks a path to the Collectible Chest that gives you the Sherbet Supporter Model.

Continue on the main path into the sandstorm area of the Plateau Point where there are several colored blocks and pedestals.

Once you have the Lift Ability, look for a statue around the corner and place it on the first grey pedestal to raise a platform you can push a block over to a yellow switch. This will lower a yellow platform to let you open a Collectible Chest containing 5 Power Orbs.

Next, you’ll need to find a second statue. Continue on the main path across the bridge and look to the left in an alcove to find another statue and place it on the second pedestal.

Push the block onto the raised platform and over to the blue switch. This will lower the blue platform to let you grab another Collectible Chest that holds the Tower’s Theme 2 Soundtrack.

Finally, push the block onto the red switch to open up a Rabbid Warp Pipe. This leads towards the secret chapter, World 2-S - The Hidden Gorge, but also to a Collectible Chest along the way that holds the Peach Model.

Continue on through the dig site until you cross a bridge to an area where a path on left runs through a block maze.

From the maze, take a left path to a plateau where you can look down on the previous area, and you’ll find another Collectible Chest that holds the Archaeo Details Artwork.

Head back to the block maze back at the junction, and head to the far back left corner of the maze, and a red switch will appear behind the cliff.

Hitting this will lower the blue and green switches in the bottom left and right corners - but raise several red blocks that will make the maze even more challenging to navigate. You can use the map below to see the route.

Hit both of the switches in the bottom corners to lower the blocks in the top, which will allow you to gain access to the Collectible Chest here that contains 10 Power Orbs.

As you enter the chapter and the dust storm clears, make your way into a large open area full of more block puzzles, and look around the left corner of rocks to find a hidden Collectible Chest and open it to find the Sandy Model.

In this same large open area, head all the way up past the block puzzle to find a Rabbid Warp Pipe leading up to a high platform with yet another Collectible Chest that contains the Blizzy Model.

After passing the site of the first battlefield, head up the path back into the sandstorm and take a right through a Rabbid Warp Pipe.

On the other side, immediately look to your right to find a stashed away Collectible Chest that holds the Giant Skeleton Artwork.

At the entrance to the tomb you’ll find a blue door locked with a blue pedestal nearby. Enter the Rabbid Warp Pipe to find a statue on the other side, and bring it back to unlock the door to a Collectible Chest holding the Sherbet Buckler Model.

In this same area before the tomb entrance, you can find another Collectible Chest that is not behind a locked gate that you can plunder for A Song of Ice and Desert Soundtrack.

Take the Rabbid Warp Pipe up into the tomb to the next platform where the statue was on the side and the battlefield over on the left.

Before the second battlefield, look behind the broken wall at the far end to find a silver Collectible Chest holding the Rabbid Kong’s Theme Gold Soundtrack.

Past the site of the first battlefield, head down the road until you reach a block puzzle that has a red block in the way.

If you note the coin trail in the sky, you’ll see it’s coming from a Rabbid Cannon further down by a red switch. Hit the switch and take the cannon back up to push the block onto the blue switch.

Now you can travel back down to grab a Super Mushroom and a Collectible Chest that holds the Rabbid Mario Model.

Moving past the second battlefield arena, continue on the long path downwards until you reach a series of three ice blocks.

If you look further down the path, you can spy three more immovable blocks in front of a Warp Pipe. Your job is to match their positions - so push the middle block all the way right. Push the farthest block to the right, down against the middle block, and left all the way. Finally, the closest block should be pushed down and to the right.

This will summon a Collectible Chest by the other blocks that contains 20 Power Orbs.

Before you take the Rabbid Warp Pipe down from the block puzzle, look along the ledge below to spy another Collectible Chest. Take the pipe down and double back to open it and get the Ice of Sherbet Desert Soundtrack.

Take the next path down past the frozen cans to another Rabbid Warp Pipe, but first look to the left of the pipe entrance to find a Collectible Chest stashed away and open it to get 5 Power Orbs.

Once arriving at the gorge, you can immediately drop down and find a Collectible Chest on the left holding the In the Heat of the Battle Soundtrack.

EditCollectible Chest 37 and 38

After completing both battles in this world, head back to the start of the second battle where you can find a statue off to the left.

Grab it, and take it all the way to the end of the battlefield where a green pedestal awaits. Place the statue to unlock the way to two chests. The first Collectible Chest contains The Giant Fridge Gold Artwork. The second Collectible Chest holds 20 Power Orbs.
