Joker-Harley Quinn Romance Must 'End in Flames'

"It just wouldn’t be right [if it didn't]."

Harley Quinn actor Margot Robbie has revealed how she'd like to see her on-screen romance with Jared Leto's The Joker ultimately end.

"Their love story has to end in flames!" Robbie told Bang Showbiz (via Batman News). "It has to — it just wouldn't be right [if it didn't]."

Leto and Robbie made their DCEU debuts as Joker and Harley Quinn, respectively, in last year's Suicide Squad. Their tumultuous romance is expected to be explored even further in a recently announced standalone movie. Warner Bros. is said to be in "final negotiations" with Glenn Ficarra and John Requa to direct the Harley Quinn-Joker film, which will reportedly be released after Suicide Squad 2.

Robbie's Harley Quinn will also be center stage in the upcoming Gotham City Sirens movie, which may or may not feature an appearance from Leto's Joker.
