The sheer amount of material from which to draw makes collecting Star Wars a daunting task. Not only are we on the precipice of the eighth movie in the main series, there are books, comics, and TV shows to draw from. Funko Vinyl Pops based on Star Wars number around 200. While most are fairly common, some of the coolest have extremely limited runs. These are the best of the best when it comes to Star Wars Funko Vinyl Pops.
The Jabba the Hutt, Slave Leia and Salacious Crumb Funko Pop 3-pack is a complete joy, because it contains 3 different Pops of 3 different sizes. Just look at that little Salacious Crumb. Actually, we dare you to try and look away.
There are Leia Pops and there are Boussh Pops, and the Princess Leia Boussh Unmasked Pop is the best of both worlds. This SDCC 2015 exclusive can fetch quite a premium. Now you can relive the surprise of Leia's unmasking after she thaws Han from his carbonite prison.
The Max Rebo Funko Pop is part of the Pop Specialty Series, available only at certain retailers. Max Rebo is the perfect character to get the Pop treatment, since he already kind of looks like a Pop anyway.
This Boba Fett Pop variant was a Star Wars Celebration and SDCC 2013 exclusive. This variation gives Fett the color scheme from the old 1980s cartoon you're probably too young to remember.
This isn't an ordinary C-3PO, this is a shiny Chrome C-3PO . This is another Pop created for the 2015 convention season and the gold finish really sets it off.
The Gold BB-8 Pop is a little outside the usual Pop line, but still technically a Funko Pop. It was a Black Friday Hot Topic exclusive and it just looks so cool in all its shiny splendor. Everything's gone gold!
The Conan O'Brien Stormtrooper Pop is one of several Conan O'Brien Pop exclusives. It's everyone's favorite freakishly tall late night talk show host wearing traditional Stormtrooper garb. It also appeals to Star Wars collectors, and anyone hoping to round out the complete Conan O'Brien Pop set.
Another SDCC exclusive, the Luke Skywalker and Wampa Pop is really awesome because everything you need to tell a story is right there. Luke is hanging upside-down in the box and the Wampa's arm is pre-severed.
Chewbacca is covered in fur, so it makes sense to cover the Chewbacca Pop in a soft, fuzzy surface. The Flocked Chewbacca Pop is a fuzzy variation of the regular Chewbacca Pop released for SDCC 2011. There were only 480 produced, making it super hard to come by. It's even hard to find a decent promotional image of the Flocked Chewbacca.
There are several holographic Pops in the Star Wars series, but the Holographic Darth Maul Pop is maybe the coolest of them all. While he never had the chance in Episode 1 to really fill out as a character, there's no denying Maul's aesthetic is the coolest of all the Sith. The SDCC 2012 exclusive is hard to find and the price reflects it.
