Click through the slideshow below for a breakdown of the inspirations we've spotted so far, including the beloved Planet Hulk comics arc, the introduction of Asgardian staples like Hela and Valkyrie, and of course the end of the world myth itself known as Ragnarok...

Some spoilers for Thor: Ragnarok follow.

Thor: Ragnarok was directed by Taika Waititi and stars Chris Hemsworth as the Odinson, Cate Blanchett as Hela, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, Jeff Goldblum as the Grandmaster, Anthony Hopkins as Odin, and Karl Urban as Skurge.
