For Honor Was the Best Selling Game of February 2017

Overall sales were down, however.

In spite of being on the market for just 12 days, Ubisoft's For Honor came out on top of sales in the U.S. for February, with PlayStation 4 once again taking the top-spot in console sales.

Resident Evil 7, the second-place game this month, was knocked from its spot as the best-selling game of January 2017. PlayStation 4 held its place on top from last month.

Nioh came in at the number 9 spot, in spite of the fact NPD doesn't have digital sales to include in its ranking. Similarly, Overwatch sales, holding steady in tenth place, don't include figures from Battle.net sales.

Grand Theft Auto V continues to make bags of money, coming in at number 4 for the month. In February it was revealed Grand Theft Auto 5 had sold 75 million copies over the course of its life.

The top-selling PS4 bundle was once again the 500GB Uncharted 4: A Thief's End bundle. Overall, console, software, and accessory sales were down 21% over the same period last year.

Nintendo 3DS sales were up 77% over last month, "driven by the 3DS New Galaxy Style model and the 3DS Limited Pikachu Yellow."

Here are the top 10 selling games in the U.S. according to the NPD Group:

  • For Honor
  • Resident Evil 7: Biohazard
  • Grand Theft Auto V
  • NBA 2K17
  • Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare
  • Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Siege
  • Madden NFL 17
  • Battlefield 1
  • Nioh
  • Overwatch
