Attack on Titan: Season 1 Movies Coming to Theaters

Funimation to screen the two-part film event in 19 select theaters.

In anticipation of the premiere of Attack on Titan: Season 2 in April, Funimation will release a pair of recap movies that cover the first season of the hit anime series in theaters later this month.

The theatrical recap will be broken into two feature-length films — each has a runtime of 120 minutes. The first part, titled Attack on Titan Part 1: Guren no Yumiya, will cover the first half of Season 1 and screen on March 27.

Meanwhile, the second part, titled Attack on Titan Part 2: Jiyuu no Tubas, will (depending on your theater location) screen on either March 28 or 29. In addition to covering the latter half of Attack on Titan's first season, the second movie will also feature a post-credits teaser for Season 2.

The two-part film release will be shown in 19 select theaters across the United States. Check out the list of participating theaters to see if the movies will be screening in your area.

Attack on Titan: Season 2 will premiere on April 1. While you patiently wait for the show's return on Funimation, check out the first official footage of Season 2.
