The entire conflict in this series has boiled down to a battle for survival. The Inhumans need their Terrigen Cloud in order to undergo the ritual of Terrigenesis, but that same cloud poisons any mutants it comes into contact with. Only one of these races was ever going to emerge victorious, and in the end it was the X-Men. Moon Girl and her fellow Nuhumans built a device to destroy the cloud. It finally made the world safe for mutantkind once more, but at the price of of preventing any more Inhumans from ever undergoing Terrigenesis.

While Medusa showed every sign that she was willing to doom her people to prevent further mutant deaths, she was never actually given the chance to pull the trigger. Instead, Emma took control of Magneto's mind and used him to push the button instead. Needless to say, Magneto was none too happy when he finally regained control.

2. Ennilux Is Destroyed by Sentinels.

One of the big developments in the Inhumans line recently involves Black Bolt and Medusa's son, Ahura, taking command of the floating Inhuman city called Ennilux. Despite being estranged from his parents, Ahura and his people showed up to lend a hand in the final battle.

Unfortunately, they turned out to be cannon fodder as the battle took an even darker turn. Emma Frost unleashed a secret fleet of Sentinels (designed to target Inhumans rather than mutants) and used them to destroy Ennilux and its inhabitants. The good news is that this act finally united the X-Men and Inhumans against a common foe.

3. Havok Betrayed the X-Men.

Havok has had a strained relationship with the X-Men ever since his mind was warped in 2014's AXIS crossover, and that relationship has only grown more complicated since the death of his brother, Cyclops. Havok proved that his loyalty to his late brother outweighed his commitment to the X-Men when he helped Emma escape the battlefield and avoid paying for her crimes. As he told Emma, he was merely doing one last favor for her in memory of his brother.

4. Emma Frost Is a Villain Again.

With Emma betraying her teammates and doing her best to wipe the Inhumans off the face of the Earth, it's safe to say that her tenure as a respectable member of the superhero community is over. Emma is seen going into hiding as the dust of the battle settles. She's also donned a new costume that seems inspired by both Magneto and Cyclops. The implication is clear - she's returned to her villainous roots, and she's not done punishing the world for the death of Cyclops. Will we see her form a new incarnation of the Hellfire Club in ResurrXion?

5. There's a New Inhuman Queen.

The Inhumans are entering ResurrXion is pretty rough shape, what with the destruction of Ennilux and the loss of the Terrigen Mists. They suffered another loss in the aftermath of the battle, as Medusa abdicated her throne and put Iso in charge of Attilan. She also ended her ongoing romance with Johnny Storm (perhaps paving the way for the long-awaited Fantastic Four reunion?).

Instead, Medusa seems eager to rekindle her relationship with her husband, Black Bolt, and savor the freedom of not being a monarch for once. So at least someone had a happy ending in all of this.
