Xbox Approves Remake Of Classic "Duke" Controller

What is this, a controller for giants?

Xbox has officially approved a remake of the historically humongous original Xbox controller, The Duke.

Originally announced at E3 this year, the updated Duke is a partnership between third party accessories company Hyperkin and original Xbox designer, Seamus Blackley.

Blackley announced via Twitter that Xbox has approved the updated version of the divisive controller:

Lovingly dubbed, “The Duke,” the original Xbox controller is up there with some of the more baffling first party peripherals ever created. This new version will retain all of the original features (and colossal size) including the much maligned black and white buttons and a detachable 9ft USB cable.

Other than working on both Xbox One and Windows 10, the only new addition is replacing the original centre logo with an LCD screen. There are no details as to what this screen will actually do as yet.

No details of pricing are available as of yet but we do know that the controller is coming later this year.
